The Open Design Studio has partnered with the NC Department of Public Instruction to create the Open Design Academy

A cohort of up to 30 participating teachers and principals will engage in experiential professional learning in open design–an equity-centered innovation methodology–as a strategy to: (1) increase educational equity as highlighted in the NC State Board of Education’s 2025 Statewide Strategic Plan; and (2) increase standards-based learning aligned with all of North Carolina’s Academic Standards.
